The Faculty Lounge at FSM Vasant Kunj Campus was designed as a calm and functional breakout space for informal discussions, short breaks, and everyday interaction. The intent was to create an environment that feels warm, welcoming, and visually refined while maintaining the durability required for institutional use.The space is defined by clean planning, minimal detailing, and a subtle colour palette that adds character without overwhelming the interior.

The planning was developed around flexibility and comfort. Seating zones were organised to allow both small group conversations and individual use, while maintaining clear circulation through the lounge.

A raised platform layout was introduced to define seating pockets and create subtle zoning within the space.

A warm neutral base palette was paired with green accent niches to bring freshness and depth. Terracotta-toned tile finishes were introduced on built seating edges for durability and easy maintenance, while also adding warmth to the overall atmosphere.

Wall-mounted lights were integrated into the niches to create a soft glow and enhance the spatial character.

Through structured planning, warm lighting, and minimal architectural detailing, the space supports everyday campus activity while offering a refined lounge environment for faculty members.
